I’m a BzzAgent and I just signed up for about.me which is actually a pretty neat site where you can keep track of all your social networking sites in one place (everything from Facebook to Vimeo). If you sign up now you can also get a free set of business cards with a QR code on them which makes it simple for people (including important business contacts) to upload your contact info into their phones.

I’m a BZZAgent. Trend Micro’s Titanium Maximum Security is an awesome piece of software w/ protection for your Android/iOS phone! With features to locate your device, add parental controls, block calls and texts, remote wipe or lock and app scanning. Another cool feature is Safe Sync for your mobile device and computer which will back up any info on your phone and computer and safely store it on a cloud.
Use code BZZ30 on trendmicro.com (opens in new window) to receive a $30 discount on a year’s subscription.
I am super excited that Apple has announced this new iPhone. Being the techie that I am, I must always have my hands on the lastest new phone. The only thing I wish is that Apple would get with the times of the Sidekick and the Blackberry and install a TTY/Relay feature built into the phone for us Deaf/HoH. You can activate a TTY feature on the iPhone 3G but it does nothing except put alittle icon in the upper right hand corner. Searching through the Apps Store there isn’t even one TTY/Relay app, which really sucks. I am forced to continue to carry around my Sidekick to have access to a TTY when I need it and when it’s more convienent to struggle to hear someone versus speaking through a TTY operator.
Anyways on another note…It seems that the only difference between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3G S is that (1) There is video on the 3G S model, a compass, 3 MP cam w/auto focus and voice control while these features will not be available with the 3.0 S update and (2) The 3G S model is 2x faster…but 2x faster in what…processor speed (being able to handle more apps without slowing down) or the 3G network has been given a boost that can only be accessed by new hardware in the new phone. Apple doesn’t really make this clear. I do like, however, that they have finally upgraded the model to match that of the iPod Touch or iTouch as it’s better known. It’s now limited to 32GB vs. the previous 16GB feature which means more music, more apps, and more movies. I also like that they added to capability of downloading TV shows and movies directly from the iTunes store on the iPhone as well as being able to log in to your iTunes acct from the iPhone without syncing. I hate that they added internet tethering and MMS capabilites yet these features are not even available in the US as of yet. MMS will be available later this summer but no word on when the internet tethering will be. I guess AT&T hasn’t come up with a way to be able to jack up prices on there already overpriced service to allow people to tether the internet. But if I know AT&T like I do they will probably do it like Verizon. Where you buy a Blackberry but can’t tether the connection without connecting to VZManager and then VZManager tells you without an extra $30 charge you can’t tether the connection.
